Self Evaluation
1. What strengths did you bring to your internship?
I brought commitment, hard work, and organization. I brought all three of these qualities by showing up to most of the events I was assigned to and also filling in sometimes. I was very organized and worked hard in all the camps and events.
2. What were your major weaknesses? What personal qualities could you have improved during your experience?
My major weakness would have to be that I am shy. Luckily I am not shy around kids and that is who I mostly interacted with, but I do believe I need to get over it and talk to adults more.
3. Do you feel you adequately satisfied the duties expected of you by the sponsoring organization? Why or why not?
Yes I do, because I fulfilled everything they asked of me and I also helped out after my internship was over. I also volunteer at the Tiffin YMCA.
4. Do you feel you adequately satisfied the time requirements (150 clock hours) of the internship?
Yes. I did over 181 hours at Tiffin Parks and Rec. and 157 hours at Tiffin YMCA. I also then spent a great deal of hours working on the Tiffin Fall Fest that I worked with Tiffin Parks and Rec and also Tiffin YMCA.
5. What helpful suggestions would you make to future interns in your position?
I would say only do one internship at a time. Don’t get yourself stressed with all the commitments that I did. Also, work hard in everything that you do, because it does pay off.
6. What did you gain from your experience? How will this experience help you when you leave Tiffin University?
I gained a lot of knowledge from the recreation and youth sports side of the industry. I know that I would love to be able to do that for a living and hopefully I will use that knowledge to get a job after graduation.
7. What overall grade do you feel you earned through your internship experience? ___A____ Justify your response.
With everything I did in the internship, I believe I earned an A. The reason is because I always tried to learn and do my best.
